Kari & Honey
Hi, my name is Kari
Mackiewicz and I've been in the NPtHA for almost four years.
I show my beautiful five year old palomino tobiano mare
Kwiks Goldengirl (Honey) in halter, showmanship, western
pleasure and equitation. I have had Honey since she was a
yearling, and I absolutely love her. Her gentle nature and
goofy personality bring so many smiles to my life. Watching
her grow up and improve in her training has been one of the
my greatest joys. Horses have become my way of life,
especially in the last few years. My husband and I now live
outside Council Bluffs, Iowa, on our farm Black Diamond
Ranch. |

We moved to the country almost three years ago, and
now we swear nothing could make us move back to the city!
It is a lot of hard work, but watching the sunset at the
end of the day, or the moonrise on a cool summer evening,
makes it all worth it - as do all the hot dog roasts and
times with family and friends. I am a person who has been
touched by horses; they add a dimension to my life I would
not feel if they were missing. All my friends in the Pinto
Association have helped me realize the best part of life
isn't the destination - it's the ride along the way.
