JNPtHA Taking the Lead!!
The following is a new activity for the JNPtHA. We all love having horses, showing, competing, and just enjoying them. We are blessed with so much in our lives that it’s important to remember to give back. Whether it’s to help someone less fortunate, to beautify the world, or just help out when you can – it all adds up to help mold you into a kind, responsible, friendly, considerate, and understanding person.
This activity is not mandatory but I hope all youth will look through the different options they can do in order to earn points all while being helpful both in and out of the horse show world.
For the start of this system, we will start earning points with attending the first JNPtHA Meeting of 2017 on February 19. The activity will end October 31. After October 31, you will need to send all filled out forms to me so I can prepare for the Awards Banquet on November 18, 2017. The next year activity will start over then November 1, 2017 and go through October 31, 2018.

Individual Community Service – outside of Pinto
Receive 10 pts for each community service project or charity you participate in. 10 points will be the minimum…make sure when you fill out the form for what you did, the time you spent, etc you are very detailed. When I receive the forms I will carefully go through each one and add additional points to any projects, services, etc that I feel deserve more points.
Forms are included that need to be filled out by the youth in detail for each service you do and a signature (if available) is asked for of any adult that is able to verify your service, help, time, etc. (ex. – 1 hour walking dogs at shelter – shelter staff member would write down what you did, the time spent, and then sign.)
Special awards for all youth who achieve the following:
14-18 – 250 points
11-13 – 100 points
10 & Under – 50 points
All forms and paperwork will need to be turned in to Jamie Yeager no later than November 10, 2017. All points will be tabulated and awards will be given to those who achieve the highest point tabulation in each age group.
